The Rising Keywords report highlights keywords that have improved their position by 25% or more in the last week compared to the previous week. These are your momentum plays - something you are doing is working, and this report tells you exactly which keywords are benefiting.
Instead of guessing what SEO tactics are paying off, this report gives you hard data on which keywords are climbing. Double down on those topics, strengthen those pages, and ride the upward trend.

What the report looks like
Each row shows a keyword that is climbing in rankings, with the exact position change and percentage improvement. Keywords with the biggest gains appear at the top.
What the report shows
Keyword - The search query that is gaining positions.
Position - Your current weighted position for this keyword.
7D Position Change - How many positions you gained in the last 7 days.
% Change - The percentage improvement, so you can compare across different position ranges.
Impressions (7d) - Current week impressions, indicating search demand.
Clicks (7d) - Current week clicks, showing actual traffic impact.
Landing page - Which page is ranking for this keyword.
How to use it
Look for patterns - Are the rising keywords related to a specific topic, page type, or recent optimization? That tells you what is working.
Find similar keywords that are not yet rising and apply the same tactics to them.
Strengthen the landing pages - Add more internal links, expand the content, and optimize titles to accelerate the momentum.
Track the winners - Add rising keywords to your tracked keywords if they are not already being monitored.
How it is calculated
The report compares average position from the current 7-day period against the previous 7 days. Only keywords with at least 25% position improvement and a minimum of 30 impressions in the current week are included.
Results are sorted by position change descending (biggest improvements first). The report uses a +/-2 day tolerance window to handle GSC data gaps. Data refreshes daily.
